I think I was a better "parent" before I had kids too! LOL! It was pretty amazing how fast I went from ,"MY kids will NOT (insert behavior)!" to "I'm so sorry, I've been there too and it ain't easy!"

I can TOTALLY understand why the mother would want to do that. That said, I never left my babies in a car... ever. If I got out , they were with me. Wherever I was. Even if they were sleeping. I HAVE, however, sat in the car and waited a bit for them to wake up.

This article and many others I've seen on the subject make blanket statements on how dangerous it is to co-sleep with your babies. They do not take into account premature children who cannot regulate their body temperatures and need to co-sleep. I've had two. We could have put 50 blankets on the kid …
